It is quirky, practical and certainly more memorable than the average public toilet.

What makes it different? The design plays with familiar details from De Wallen. Some of the toilet doors resemble the district’s famous windows, complete with digital characters and curtains that close when you lock the door. Other cubicles have their own themed interiors, so you never quite know what you will find when you step inside.

Not just for the novelty Sexy Loo is still a proper public toilet, which makes it genuinely useful while exploring this busy part of Amsterdam. There is also a wheelchair-accessible toilet and a baby-changing facility, making it more practical than the playful name might suggest.
